- William Usher writes about Mark Kern's call for developers to stand against corrupt media.[1] That same day, he publishes another article about a social activist threatening #Gamergate attendees with violence at PAX East.[2]
- YouTube User FollowTheCaptain releases a video titled "Anti #GamerGate's Simplistic View of the Gaming World - and Gaming Journalists aren't Helping"
- 8chan's /v/ board finds out Polygon's Ben Kuchera backed Die Gute Fabrik's 'Sportsfriends', reported on it in 2014, and failed to disclose it.[3]

- Techraptor interviews indie developer [Slade Villena](aka Roguestar) about his incoming game:"FleetComm" and #Gamergate.[4]
- William Usher updates his article: "#GamerGate: Ben Kuchera and the Life and Nepotism of Game Journo Pros" to include Kuchera's latest uncovered conflict of interest[5]
- Mark Kern asks gamers to tweet "I am for a free and unbiased gaming press because... ." Over 3,800 tweets were recorded[6]
- A thread about Mark Kern's call against corrupt media is deleted on the Final Fantasy XIV forums.[7]
- Polygon hires Susana Polo, Founder of The Mary Sue, as their first "Entertainment Editor"[8]

- Techraptor's Georgina Young posts an article titled 'Boston Globe Joins Chorus, Reports Dubious Bomb Threat'
- Mark Kern asks gamers to show their love for games with the tag #RebuildInitiative, an older tag #GamerGate has used to help show appreciation to devs and to show them alternatives to the games media
- GameZone publishes an article about Dead or Alive and "big boobs" and sparks a lively discussion in /r/Games. Reddit moderators proceed to shadowban gamers and delete comments.[9]
- YouTube user Saddex uploads 'Video Game Journalism Evolved - Gaming Journalism in a Nutshell - Part 1'

- William Usher posts a new article on his One Angry Gamer blog titled 'Google’s Fact-Based Ranking Could Help #GamerGate’s Fight Against Gawker'
- Wyatt Hnatiw of TechRaptor writes 'Divide the Games Industry'
- Crash Override Network partners with Randi Harper's "Online Abuse Prevention Initiative" along with Sheri Rubin of the IGDA Board of Directors[10]
- Double Fine's Tim Schafer uses a sockpuppet to crack jokes and mock the gamers in #GamerGate and #NotYourShield. This causes "Tim Schafer" to trend on Twitter both in the United States and eventually worldwide.[11][12]
