Merge

I'm not convinced this deserves its own page. Since it seems to be "Operation Baby Seal plus some FTC complaints" I think it should be moved to a section of Operation Baby Seal. Thoughts? Psycho Robot (talk) 17:31, 6 November 2014 (EST)

It has been linked on Kia and 8chan. If we remove it now, people will go mad. --Gehirn (talk) 18:04, 6 November 2014 (EST)
We can redirect Operation UV to Operation Baby Seal#Operation UV Psycho Robot (talk) 18:08, 6 November 2014 (EST)

I've added more examples

I've added a bunch of new examples from Gizmodo, Lifehacker and Jezebel. All of these examples are reviews, articles, regular blog posts. All have embedded Amazon Affiliate links.None of these have the FTC-required disclosure language. I think it's a good idea to keep adding links and examples as they are found. It helps drives home the point that the lack of disclosure is systemic. If everyone agrees, please approve this as quickly as possible.

11/7/14: Added 4 more examples. Please approve.

Link sporting amazon TOS

I've read through the amazon TOS and I don't see where this is forbidden. In fact they offer an amazon.to shorter within amazon's infrastructure.

You're right. Amazon does not appear to have any restriction against link shortening or redirecting links, except in search results which I don't believe Kotaku's links qualify for. Psycho Robot (talk) 21:05, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
