While at Harvard University, Mark Zuckerberg and some of his college roommates, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes, founded Facebook. In October 28, 2003, the early Facebook prototype was launched and called "Facemash." It was Harvard University's version of Hot or Not, an image rating site, were visitors can submit photos and rate them based on their attractiveness level. [1]

Role in Gamergate

On November 4, 2014, Facebook deleted WTF Magazine on the grounds of unspecified "bullying" and "abusive behavior directed at private individuals", and for also having a photograph of a woman, who is lightly-clothed, wearing a halter, and shorts that has the magazine's logo. WTF Magazine's Twitter account were discussing GamerGate.
