In order to be properly classified as a SJW, an individual must display a dogged insistence upon forwarding their ideological agendas through any and all means, no matter the expediency. As such, at least three{{cn}} of the following behaviours can be found in any given SJW:

While neither inexorable nor invariable, many of these [[SJW#Behaviour|behaviours]] are typical of an SJW. While similarities exist between the two, SJWs are not to be confused with [[trolls]], as trolls do not hold any SJW beliefs in earnest, and chiefly act similarly only for lulz.

===Social justice===

The supposed core of social justice, as defined by the National Association of Social Workers<ref name="NASW: Social justice">[https://www.socialworkers.org/pressroom/features/issue/peace.asp NASW: Social justice]</ref>, "is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities.". Thus, social justice can essentially be understood a modern reinvigoration of egalitarianism, with added specificity in order to ensure proper action on its behalf.

However, this should not be conflated by the average social justice warrior ideologue. Whereas social justice is genuinely concerned with mitigating societal iniquity and establishing just litigation to ensure fairness for every member of future generations, social justice warrior social justice is chiefly used as a shield with which to defend an expressed belief. Taking advantage of their minority or ostensibly 'oppressed' status, social justice warriors dismiss their detractors as bigots and ignoramuses, claiming that they disagree with them purely on a basis of sex, gender, race, religion, or creed.

==Demography==

Social justice warriors are almost invariably men and/or women of caucasian ethnicity, upper middle class socioeconomic status, and a western nationality. Most are between the ages of 18 and 29. With Twitter as the mutual battleground, Gamergate and Anti-GG have presently been waging war against each other for about half a dozen months.
