The Boycott List is an informal list of websites and publications that have made factually inaccurate reports on #GamerGate due to poor research, yellow journalism, or other unprofessional reasons. The list also includes sites with serious ethical problems not necessarily related to #GamerGate and social media websites that have censored discussion about #GamerGate for reasons having to do with the above. #GamerGate supporters often choose to completely boycott the most serious and repeat offenders.
Archiving tools can be used to view and preserve the content of boycotted sites without contributing to their clicks and page views.
For an informal list of websites that follow the SPJ Code of Ethics, please view the Support List.

Openly anti-GG and misrepresents Gamergate.
|
| The Jim Sterling Collection
|
Jim Sterling, alongside Zoe Quinn and Alex Lifschitz, attempted to get interviews with pro-gamergate developers removed from The Escapist. One of the developers, James Desborough, assumed it was taken down because of a friendship he had, but it was noted the interview was removed due to claims of harassment[67]. He has also shown he has a large bias by implying GamerGate is a crazy conspiracy, and referencing 3 anti-GG articles in his video "Oh What A Lovely Conspiracy".
